Celebrating how we express ourselves through the arts
Each year the primary students are involved in a themed concert or mini-musical which is performed in Sunset Hall. Prep to year 2 students currently perform a different themed concert to students in years 3 to 6. In 2018, the performance will reflect the outcomes of the International Baccalaureate PYP unit of “How We Express Ourselves”.
The secondary students participate in performances associated with their drama and media curriculum studies. These are usually held during school time with an audience of their fellow students.
Students in the instrumental music and dance programs are encouraged to perform at every opportunity. A mini concert is held in Sunset Hall after closing chapel at the end of each term. This is an opportunity for beginner students to have the experience of performing in front of their peers, teachers and parents. In Term 4, an instrumental program showcase concert is held at the College over two nights.
The more experienced and skilled instrumental music students are invited to join the College band. A range of smaller ensembles and groups are formed for younger students to gain experience playing and performing together.
Trinity students perform with distinction in the Mildura eisteddfod both as individuals and in groups across the range of performing arts disciplines. We are especially proud of the continued success of our various choral and verse speaking choirs.
