This day of festivities has grown from a street stall on the front lawns of the school more than twenty years ago to our current extravaganza which utilises the entire grounds and college facilities.
This event celebrates our Lutheran German heritage and it is a wonderful example of how our College community of students, parents, teachers and friends all work together for a common goal. Indeed, it is the only fundraiser for the College each year.
Deutschfest is held on the Saturday before Mother’s Day and has become a renowned highlight of both the College and the local Sunraysia district. The buzz in the air builds and there is a wonderful feeling of excitement and anticipation as the day draws closer.
The Stalls and entertainment will vary from year to year but are guaranteed to provide for everyone tastes in food, drinks and things to do! A highlight is the annual auction, flower stall and Mothers Day gift hampers all whilst enjoying a kransky and sauerkraut roll, a visit to the German Beer Stall and ending with some delicious german sweets.
It is an event for all ages and all comers and gives life to our generous, hard-working, fun-loving community spirit.
As always, we are tremendously grateful for the hard work and commitment of our parents, staff and students in delivering this wonderful event.
