Our Lutheran Faith is central to the daily operation of our College and evident in all that we do. Our families take comfort in knowing their children are in an environment with strong Christian values guiding our interactions with one another.

We believe that we are all created in the image of God and that all are embraced by God’s love, evidenced in Christ’s life, death and resurrection. The ministry of Jesus Christ gave respect to all people irrespective of class, race, gender or status. This is why we are such a welcoming, inclusive school.

We have a dedicated, passionate and faith-driven staff team at our College who are all here for our students. In addition, we have a strong spiritual focus across our curriculum through our Christian Studies curriculum and College worship program.

Students at Trinity Lutheran College have numerous opportunities to explore and deepen their faith, spirituality and relationship with Christ.

As part of this focus our Holy Trinity Lutheran Pastor and College Ministry Coordinator support staff and students in their spiritual growth and are available to provide further reflections and consultations.

Note – it is not a requirement that your child or family is a Christian or becomes Christian during their time with us – however there are no exemptions to this aspect of Trinity Life.

  • Daily Devotions

At Trinity Lutheran College we have daily class devotions (prayer and spiritual reflection) that are based around a spiritual theme for the term, such as The Parables of Jesus and People from the Old and New Testament. This gives students extensive opportunities to explore related spiritual values and informs the spiritual activities of the College.

This devotion time enhances openness and understanding between students and staff and also creates an understanding of what is faith and what it means to have faith.

  • Christian Studies

Christian Studies is a key learning area in the Prep to Year 10 curriculum of Trinity Lutheran College. It provide students with the opportunity to explore other religions alongside Christianity to understand the role of faith in humanity. Details on this subject can be found here.

  • Chapel

Chapel is an integral component of our identity as a community based on Christian values. The primary and secondary students participate separately in a weekly chapel that is led by class teachers and students. The Chapel program is an opportunity for us to grow in faith and reflect on important issues of life. The start and end of each term are celebrated with a whole of college chapel. Parents and community are always most welcome to join us for chapel.

  • Weekly Parent Prayer Group

The College employs a part time Ministry Coordinator, Debra Heinrich, who runs a weekly prayer group and Pelican Kids Playgroup for 0 to 5 year olds. Please contact the College for further details.

As a community, the College continue to seek ways for our students to know all the benefits that can flow from living a Spiritual life – love and joy, peace and acceptance, compassion and meaning.
