Our Secondary School encompasses Years 7 to 10 and is a vibrant and supportive learning environment that provides opportunities for discovery, creativity and independence as students traverse their adolescent years. Excellence in the classroom is encouraged and students are supported by our dedicated teachers to maximise every learning opportunity.
Given the strong community culture and Christian love in action at our school, our middle years are positive years of growth, achievement and deepening friendships for our students.
Academically, in years 7 to 10, Trinity follows the four-year International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) which encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, preparing them for success in further study and life. This is an education that parents and students can rely on. It’s an internationally recognised programme that is highly transferrable. At the same time, we ensure our curriculum meets all Australian and Victorian educational standards with students suitably prepared for any state or national frameworks. Students in secondary school are encouraged to take part in numerous extra-curricular offerings across sport, music and performance, academic extensions and work experience. They can enjoy growing and learning on School Camps, Pastoral Care (PCG) programs and through Spiritual studies and worship.
Year 9 and 10 students participate in the year-long The Rite Journey program, which nurtures their transition to young adulthood. Year 10 students create and deliver their own Personal Project – a culminating experience in which students complete an extended, self-directed piece of work. This compulsory component provides opportunities for creative and personal demonstrations of learning and interests.
In Year 10, students have an opportunity to nominate for leadership roles across the College – in recognition of their contribution to school life – and can further their leadership and teamwork skills within the school community.
